A client oriented approach to home design has been my key to success as a residential architect in Western Washington. My job entails listening to the needs and desires of my client and designing their new custom home, residential addition or remodel with refined proportion, elegance and careful detailing. My practice is in Seattle and now includes an Eastern Washington office which serves clientele in the Yakima area.
As a sole proprietor working in various sizes of new single family residences, remodels and additions I am facile in a variety of architectural styles. My post degree studies involved modern design style of the Bauhaus era, which lends itself to a beauty of efficiency and practicality. My initial professional architectural training was in New England which instilled a vocabulary to create beautiful, light filled homes in a classic style.
My work continues to focus on creative design solutions rather than a particular style. I like to think of myself as a modern architect in that I focus on budget, energy efficiency and green building solutions considerate to the environment. This often lends itself to a streamlined look, but it is ultimately the client that drives the look of my designs.
